Cookies and storage
Last updated 26 October 2026
phimaths doesn't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so there's no cookie banner to click through. Here's everything the site stores on your device, and why.
Stored in your browser by phimaths
- Your practice progress (answers, timings, mock results, your chosen exam, colour theme). Kept in your browser's local storage so your progress is there next time. It never leaves your device unless you sign in.
- Your sign-in session, only if you sign in with Google, so you stay signed in. Removed when you sign out.
- An offline copy of the site (a "service worker" cache), so pages load fast and questions work with a weak signal.
These are strictly necessary for the features you use, so the law doesn't require consent for them. You can clear them at any time from the Your data page or your browser settings.
Google sign-in
The "Continue with Google" button is provided by Google. When you choose to sign in, Google may set or read its own cookies on google.com to sign you in securely. We don't show Google's automatic sign-in pop-up; Google is only involved when you press the button. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across other sites.
Fonts and maths rendering
The site's fonts come from Google Fonts and the maths display (KaTeX) comes from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser downloads these files directly, which means those services see your IP address, as with any website. They don't set cookies for this.
Payments
If you buy Pro, you pay on Stripe's own page (checkout.stripe.com or buy.stripe.com). Stripe uses its own cookies there to prevent fraud; they aren't set on phimaths.com.
